We would like to build a bridge between the people of Yemen and the rest of the world. Through our Pen Pal Program, we can forge a connection through correspondence between Yemeni individuals and other concerned, curious, and/or hopeful citizens. We hope that by giving people a personal connection with the people of Yemen, they will learn more about the crisis and what they can do to help. When a person in Canada signs up to be a pen pal, they will be matched with a person in Yemen to begin communicating with them. These individuals and groups will contact each other online and participate in dialogue and discussion and a mutual sharing of stories. This will provide a unique learning experience to both the Canadian and Yemeni participants. The purpose of this program is to show the individual people of Yemen that the rest of the world has not forgotten about them and we want to hear their stories.
